ABOUT

I am a current graduate student at The University of Virginia. In the spring of 2019, I will graduate with a Master's in Teaching with a dual endorsement in Elementary and Special Education. My undergraduate degree was earned at Binghamton University where I studied English Literature and earned a minor in Education.
I have been very fortunate in the past five years to work in education across a variety of grade levels and social contexts. As a college student, I mentored middle school students in a diverse Title I school. Upon graduating, I taught Pre-Kindergarten for two years in a suburban childcare center that focused on play-based education.
Within the Curry School of Education, I completed my teaching practicums in a first-grade classroom and in a collaborative classroom in an urban high school. This Fall, I completed a student teaching internship at Carysbrook Elementary in a fourth-grade classroom. At this time, I am completing a student teaching internship at Baker-Butler Elementary School in a Special Education Resource Room.
